Condensation occurs when warm, moist air inside the home meets a cooler surface, such as a window. This is common in colder weather or in areas with high humidity levels. High-quality insulated windows can eliminate condensation, in turn minimizing mold growth.
U-value (also known as thermal transmittance) measures how well a window or door insulates against heat loss or protects against excess heat. A lower U-value indicates better insulation properties, helping keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Windows and doors are areas where heat loss tends to occur most often in the home. Investing in high-quality energy-efficient windows will improve your home’s U-value and reduce your utility bill.

Tilt and turn windows offer two opening options: they tilt inward for ventilation or swing open for maximum airflow. This provides increased options and versatility, unlike other window styles which can only be opened one way. Tilt and turn windows swing inwards, meaning they can be cleaned from inside the home as an easier alternative to exterior window cleaning.
